  1. Saving Species Day at the Toronto Zoo

On June 29 to July 1 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Toronto Zoo is offering a weekend filled with “meet and greets” with zookeepers, animal visitors, and program partners, such as Biologists from Wildlife Preservation Canada’s Shrike Recovery Program.

  1. Redpath Waterfront Festival, presented by Billy Bishop Airport

From June 29 to July 1, Toronto’s waterfront has shiploads of nautical fun for the whole crew.

Tour the Bluenose II, the historic tall ship on the Canadian dime, and climb onboard the Picton Castle, a three-masted tall ship that has sailed around the world seven times. Other visiting ships include: U.S.Brig Niagara, Pride of Baltimore II, Denis Sullivan, Playfair, St.Lawrence II and Fair Jeanne. The Royal Canadian Navy and the Canadian Coast Guard will also be coming ashore.

From June 29 to July 1, the Toronto Ribfest is on at the Etobicoke Central Park. Live entertainment, a massive Midway, celebrity food judging, a Kid’s Zone, and – of course – ribs make up this fun for the whole family weekend.
